Kemble Mill - Open Garden Day

OPEN GARDEN DAY

Kemble Mill gardens are open to the public once a year through the

National Gardens Scheme (house not open).

All proceeds from entry fees, plant sales and teas go to charity.

The 14 acre grounds surrounding Kemble Mill consist of:

a formal walled garden with prairie border and rose and lavender walkways
a formal pond garden with magnolias
an island garden with apple orchard, bog planting and wild woodland walk bordered by the River Thames and the mill race
an ornamental kitchen garden
a small woodland of native trees, also occasionally home to 2 Gloucester Old Spot pigs
a former paddock adjoining Isis Cottage, now a wildflower meadow
an 8 acre pasture meadow with 2 donkeys and several free range chickens
a playground

2008

The garden will be open on Sunday 25 May 2008 from 2pm-5pm.

Entry is £3.00 per person (under 16s free).

Teas will be available and there will also be a plant sale.

All proceeds from entry fees and plant sales will go to the National Gardens Scheme charities whilst proceeds from teas will go to the Cotswold Care Hospice.
